Bill Rogers Biography
Back to Artist’s Listing
Bill Rogers of Brooklyn, New York, has recently been very successful in showing his found-object construction sculptures at one-man shows at the Holzworth Gallery, New York, 1997, and at the Right Bank Gallery, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, 1999.
Rogers is inspired by castaway objects and creates from them something aesthetic, perhaps practical, more often witty. For example, his six-foot "Toothbrush," carved from a large piece of driftwood, with rusty 7" spikes for bristles, is a hearty reminder to carefully brush after every meal.
Bill Rogers' works are in many private collections.
